Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to go to Tehran on Saturday, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency in Iran.
According to Tasnim, he will meet with Iranian authorities.
In a pact mediated by China, Iran and Saudi Arabia decided in March to mend their diplomatic differences and resume ties after years of antagonism that threatened regional security in places like Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon.
On June 7, the Iranian embassy in Saudi Arabia formally reopened.
