The federal capital’s district and sessions court has set a date for filing charges against former minister of information Fawad Chaudhry.

Further Sessions The lawsuit against Mr. Chaudhry for allegedly making threatening comments about Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) personnel will be heard by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra on June 24.

In response to Fawad’s remarks, the police have charged him under Sections 153-A (promoting hatred between groups), 506 (criminal intimidation), 505 (statement conducing to public mischief), and 124-A (sedition) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
