The budget for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s fiscal year 2023–2024 will be unveiled today. There have been suggestions for quick fixes to boost the province’s income.

A budget of Rs 1 billion has been set out for the BRT subsidy programme.

On the other side, Punjab adopted a budget with a surplus of Rs336 billion. The proposal to increase government employees’ compensation by 30% was approved. Additionally, approval was given for a 20 percent increase in the pensions of retirees who are over 80 years old.
