In a case involving the violence on May 9, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday granted bail to PTI Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former minister Asad Umar.

The high court has ordered the two politicians to post surety guarantees for their bail totaling Rs. 100,000 each, preventing the police from detaining them.

The top court has also ordered the police to turn over the case file by July 10.
