After accepting his bail in the money laundering case, the special court central on Saturday granted the release of former chief minister Parvez Elahi, who is also the president of the PTI.
Elahi was taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency on Wednesday after being granted bail in another case involving illegal recruitments by a court against corruption.
The Panama Papers discoveries, which revealed the father and his son, Moonis Elahi, were owners of foreign companies, led to their arrests a day earlier for accused money laundering.
