Four individuals died after drinking poisoned spirits in Sheikhupura’s Bhikhi neighbourhood, authorities said on Friday.

The victims were named as Sanawar, Shahzad, Goral, and Gulfam, who died at a hospital.

Maratib Masih, a spirits vendor, was arrested and booked in a case.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Bhikhi and the moharrar have been suspended, according to a Sheikhupura police official.
