Megan Rapinoe, a veteran for the United States, revealed Wednesday that she is scared but motivated to enjoy her final World Cup and leave with a third trophy.

Rapinoe confirmed over the weekend that she will retire at the end of the season, capping off a career that has already delivered her two World Cup titles.

She has a chance to make it three when the event begins next week in Australia and New Zealand. “The nerves and excitement are still there,” the forward, who is also known for her advocacy, added.
