Pakistan has criticised a UN study on conflict-related sexual assault for leaving out crimes of violence committed in Israeli-occupied Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IIOJK).

Munir Akram, the permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN, pleaded with the Secretary-General to include India and Israel among the perpetrators of conflict-related sexual assault in future reports to the Security Council in order to address the Report’s errors.

According to Pakistan’s representative, conflict-related violence, harassment, and humiliation of women and girls in Kashmir have dramatically worsened since India’s unilateral and unlawful actions on August 5th.
