Pervez Khattak, a former leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and minister of defence, split from the original party on Monday and established his own political organisation.
Khattak will serve as the leader of the party, which will be known as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Parliamentarians).
Many influential people from KP, including the former chief minister Mehmood Khan, would reportedly join the PTI Parliamentarians, according to reports.
In the past, Khattak accelerated communications with a number of political figures, and there have been rumours that he has also been in touch with the PML-N and PPP.
