Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, reportedly dismissed offers of negotiations as a ruse on Monday and advised the US to avoid any “foolish act” that may endanger its security.

After last week’s launch of an ICBM off its east coast, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that the United States is still afraid that North Korea may conduct another ICBM test. This is when Kim made her remarks.

In a statement reported by KCNA, Kim stated, “The United States should halt a reckless behaviour that could put its security at jeopardy by aggravating us.
