As India released water in Nullah Dek on Wednesday, several villages in the Pasrur tehsil of the Sialkot district were submerged.

The bordering country’s release of floodwater has caused high levels of flooding in Nullah Dek, submerging numerous villages and destroying standing crops across hundreds of acres.

The Indian floodwater’s release could contribute to the Chenab and Ravi rivers’ rising water levels.
