Asad Umar, the former general secretary of the party, and vice chairman of the PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi appeared before the FIA on Monday for an investigation of cypher and audio leaks.

Both leaders provided statements in terrorism proceedings that the FIA’s anti-terrorism wing had filed against them.

Following his appearance, Qureshi spoke with the reporters and stated the probe took two hours. He also said he answered all queries. “PTI chief has also been summoned and he will appear tomorrow,” he continued.

He continued by stating that cypher was a fact and that those who were accountable presented conflicting accounts. The military and civil leadership concurred, he continued.
