In the early hours of Monday, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook Quetta and the nearby Balochistan province.

In a state of terror, people emerged from their homes and began chanting verses from the Holy Quran. There were no reports of casualties or property damage caused by the earthquake in any area in Quetta.

The epicentre of the earthquake, according to Islamabad’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, was about 15 km beneath the surface, 25 kilometres northwest of Quett.
