The Supreme Court will issue its decision today (Wednesday) on petitions requesting the formation of a full court bench to hear matters involving the military courts’ prosecution of civilians suspected in the May 9 incidents.
The petitions were considered by a six-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial and comprised of Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, and Justice Ayesha Malik.
During the proceedings, the Chief Justice stated that the bench members will discuss on the topic before informing the respondents of their judgment.
