On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for his powerful message of support and solidarity with Pakistan.

“His [Jinping’s] emphasis on building CPEC into ‘an exemplary project of high quality Belt and Road Cooperation’ reflects his commitment to the well-being of the people of Pakistan,” the prime minister stated in a social media post.

He stated that the multibillion-dollar project had achieved numerous benchmarks in the sectors of high-quality infrastructure, energy, and socioeconomic progress over the last ten years.
