In the Toshakhana case, a local court convicted the PTI chairman on Saturday to three years in prison and a Rs100,000 fine. This decision will alter the political climate of the nation as it prepares for general elections.
In addition to issuing a brief decision, the court stated that he was barred from holding any position for a period of five years and that it will be revealed later.
The court further ruled that the PTI chairman had filed a false affidavit with the Election Commission and engaged in corrupt activities in violation of Section 174 of the Election Act 2017. The court then ordered the Islamabad Police Chief to arrest the defendant right away while also issuing arrest warrants.
