On Thursday, Somia Asim, a suspect and the wife of a civil judge detained in connection with the Rizwana violence case, asked the Islamabad District and Session Court to dismiss her case.

Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi of the District and Session Court considered the suspect’s request for bail, and the court affirmed the judgment after hearing the arguments of the parties.

The judge upheld the bail plea decision and later denied the suspect’s plea. After being arrested, the suspect changed his plea to one for bail.

The General Hospital in Lahore has been caring for a young woman named Rizwana who was a victim of domestic abuse in Islamabad for a number of days.
