Anwarul Haq Kakar, the leader of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), was appointed as interim prime minister on Saturday, and the nomination was approved in summary by President Dr. Arif Alvi.
In accordance with Article 244 A of the Constitution, the president has given his approval, according to a social media message posted by the president of Pakistan on X (formerly Twitter).
Raja Riaz, leader of the opposition, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came to an agreement on Mr. Kakar’s name. In a meeting with Mr. Sharif, Mr. Riaz informed the reporters in Islamabad that they both agreed that the caretaker prime minister should come from a smaller province and should be impartial and apolitical.
