The appeal of the Punjab government contesting Parvez Elahi’s acquittal in two corruption cases was set for hearing by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday.
On August 15, Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmed of the LHC would begin hearing the case.
Parvez Elahi and the pertinent court were added as respondents by the Punjab government in the appeal. The Punjab government claimed that the PTI president was involved in corruption since he abused his position as the province’s chief executive.
The government claimed in its appeal that Parvez Elahi received kickbacks from building the roadways.
