NEWS/WASHINGTON – Masood Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, emphasized on Saturday the importance of fostering inter-human connections in order to boost the country’s economic ties with the US.

Speaking with Council Member Ms. Naila Alam in Washington, he asserted that the Pakistani-American community is crucial to advancing relations between the two countries and elevating bilateral relationships to a new level.

A proclamation declaring August 14, 2023, as “Pakistan Independence Day” in the Town of Herdon, Virginia, was made by Council Member Ms. Naila Alam.

He praised Ms. Naila Alam for her timely initiative and stated that the proclamation would strengthen ties between Pakistan and the United States and raise people’s understanding of the nation generally.
