On Saturday, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori swore in members of the newly established caretaker cabinet of Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar.
The ritual began with a recital of the Holy Quran at Karachi’s Governor House, where caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar was also present.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Sindh declared a 10-member cabinet, stating that Governor Sindh chose provincial ministers at the interim CM’s recommendation.
Among the caretaker Sindh cabinet members are Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, Ms. Rana Hussain, Dr. Junaid Shah, Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz, Mubeen Jatori and Younus Dagha, Ishwar Lal, Arshad Wali Muhammad, Omar Soomoro, and Khuda Bux Marri.
The Sindh Caretaker CM, Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, had finished discussions and shortlisted nominees for the temporary provincial cabinet’s first round a day earlier.
According to reports, the names of academicians, famous doctors, eminent surgeons, economists, and security professionals for the caretaker provincial cabinet have been finalized.
According to insiders, the temporary government will act impartially and in the best interests of the province’s citizens. According to insiders, the selected individuals’ educational and professional qualifications were given extra consideration.
