BATTAGRAM – According to witnesses and rescuers, a helicopter launched from Peshawar rescued eight pupils and two teachers who had been suspended in midair on a chairlift since the morning in Allai Jhangray Pashto in the Battagram district.
The damaged cable of the chairlift eventually became entangled in the air. It occurred around seven o’clock in the morning. The chairlift is stuck at least 1,500 feet above the ground.
Authorities came immediately to intervene.
At the request of the chief minister of KP, an official government chopper was despatched to rescue the casualties. He directed that every resource at his disposal be used to save the victims.
According to the district emergency officer, a team from the professional disaster management authority has been sent for rescue operations.He added that without a helicopter, rescuing the victims would be extremely impossible.
It might take up to 2.5 hours to get there, according to Bilal Faizi, a spokesman with Rescue 1122.
According to Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq, the chairlift accident in Battagram, KP, is exceedingly alarming. He wrote in the tweet, “I have ordered the NDMA, PDMA, and district authorities to immediately ensure the safe rescue and evacuation of the 8 people trapped in the chairlift.”
