Pakistan captain Babar Azam wants his team to maintain their T20 World Cup momentum and play aggressive cricket in the next series against Bangladesh.
Tomorrow (Friday), the Pakistan cricket team will play the first of three T20 series in Dhaka’s Shere Bangla Stadium.
Speaking about the forthcoming series, the world’s top T20 and ODI hitter stated that Pakistan will not take Bangladesh lightly.
“Despite the team’s lack of veteran players, the cricketers who are now in the squad have experience playing in the Bangladesh Premier League,” Azam added.
“As a result, we’ll play confidently throughout the series.”
According to Babar Azam, the Pakistani squad would strive to maintain its winning streak. He described the T20 World Cup semi-final loss against Australia as “wrenching.”
“Everyone is sad with the semi-final loss,” Pakistan’s captain stated. “That’s why I backed each and every guy.”
Pakistan has six scheduled matches against Bangladesh and the West Indies, according to Babar Azam, who also stated that the Men in Green will try out different combinations during the contests.
Speaking about the contrasting circumstances in Bangladesh, Babar Azam stated that the squad will acclimatise to the surroundings and perform appropriately.
“You’ll have to remain longer at the wickets here,” he observed.
Fans will be able to watch the play live from the stands, according to Babar Azam. He stated that people have been supporting the Pakistan cricket team and cheering for them everywhere they go.
“We also get a lot of support here, along with the Bangladesh cricket team,” he remarked.
When questioned about the team for next year’s T20 World Cup, Babar Azam replied it was too early to discuss.
“When we return to Pakistan,” he continued, “I will meet with selectors and others to address this.” “Then we’ll devise a strategy. We are currently concentrating on a series-by-series basis.”
He praised the national team, noting that each player knew his or her duty and played it correctly.
