After being released from Attock prison on Saturday, 23 PTI members and leaders were detained again. The accused were arrested again under the provisions of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

According to sources, 23 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf militants were freed from District Jail Attock after stepping out of jail. All of the members had already been detained for suspected involvement in disturbances following Imran Khan’s detention. PTI members were detained on suspicion of terrorism and other serious crimes.

The police re-arrested the freed individuals by closing all routes leading to the jail. However, family of those detained were not permitted to visit with them.
