Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politician Hammad Azhar said on Sunday that police had ‘arrested’ his 82-year-old father, Mian Azhar, in Lahore.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is preparing for its maiden power show today. The founding chairman and former prime minister called for a national demonstration, the party’s first major show of power since the May 9 riots.

Hammad Azhar resorted to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent his dissatisfaction. The PTI leader claimed that police had ‘arrested’ his father at a public protest in NA-129.
