CAIRO (Reuters) – More than 100 Palestinians were killed and scores injured in an Israeli raid on a Gaza school housing displaced persons on Saturday, according to the Hamas-run Gaza administration. The Israeli military said the strike was targeting a Hamas command center.

The strikes occurred as those hiding at the school were practicing dawn prayers, resulting in several deaths, according to a statement from the Hamas media office. Medics have not yet been able to access all of the bodies, it stated.

Gaza’s health officials had no immediate information.

According to a statement from the Israeli military, the air force struck a command and control center where Hamas officials and operatives were hiding.
