ISLAMABAD – The restored members of the national and provincial parliament on reserved seats will earn their basic salary for the duration of their suspension.

According to legislative sources, 77 legislators were suspended on May 13, 2024, and their wages were immediately terminated upon the suspension notices.

Of them, 22 were from the National Assembly, with 19 women and three minority lawmakers. So far, 19 have been restored, with notices for the other three awaiting.
Insiders verified that from May 13 to December 31, 2024, the restored MNAs will be paid just basic wages of PKR 150,000 each member, with no TA/DA or other perks.

They will be paid according to the amended pay scale from January 1, 2025, until the Supreme Court’s verdict.

Similarly, 55 restored provincial assembly members on reserved seats will get compensation in accordance with their individual assembly statutes.
