Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) hinted to a “deal” with the imprisoned PTI chairman on Monday in Lahore.
The Senate Standing Committee on Defense’s chairman, Mushahid Hussain Syed, claimed in an exclusive interview with ARY News that they are ‘unable’ to deal with Prisoner No. 804. There may be a “Mother of all deals” with the PTI leader, it seems.
The PML-N leader said he explained the dispute between the PTI head and the Establishment to Western leaders as a “quarrel between lovers” in which there is a chance of redemption.

Pakistan, according to Mushahid Hussain Syed, cannot take the full impact of any more conflict. Everyone should put out effort to improve the nation.

In response to a different query, Mushahid Hussain declared that the military establishment is “against” external accountability of its personnel. He said that they have their own mechanism for accountability.

The legislator said he was not there at the meeting in London where it was decided to endorse Qamar Javed Bajwa’s appointment as chief of the army staff.

He lamented that the PDM government’s 2022 vote of no-confidence gave the PTI and its leader fresh life. He was hopeless, but PDM gave him a new lease of life.
