Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), has poked fun at Nawaz Sharif, the head of his party, for wanting to make former army chief General Retired Qamar Javed Bajwa responsible.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi claimed in an interview with a private news outlet that Nawaz Sharif would resign from office if Qamar Javed Bajwa proved to be a barrier. He questioned Shehbaz and Nawaz Sharif for not holding the former army commander responsible during his 16-month administration.
He said that following Qamar Bajwa’s retirement, the PML-N had at least eight to nine months. Along with his partners, Abbasi criticized the PML-N-led administration for its poor performance in office.
“The country only wants to see its problems fixed; they have nothing to do with accountability. It is appropriate to ask Shehbaz Sharif over the delay in Bajwa’s accountability during his 16-month administration.
According to Abbasi, the next plan of action to put an end to the nation’s instability should be decided by all parties involved, including the military, judiciary, and politicians.
Abbasi had stated that he believed the impending elections were useless.
Nawaz Sharif and the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, were both declared ineligible during an interview with the Local Tv Show In the 4.5 months [before the general elections], the electoral commission requested to lift their disqualification.
