MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin received Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi late on Monday and showed him around his estate outside Moscow ahead of official discussions in the Kremlin on Tuesday.
According to Russia’s TASS state news agency, Putin embraced the Indian leader at his house in Novo-Ogaryovo, greeting him as his “dear friend” and saying he was “very happy” to meet him.
“Our official talks are tomorrow, while today in this comfortable, cosy setting we can probably discuss the same issues, but unofficially,” Putin said, according to TASS.
