ISLAMABAD: The registrar office’s objections to a plea asking for permission for political figures to meet the PTI founder in jail were dismissed by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday.

The office was given instructions by the court to reschedule the case for hearing. The petition and the registrar office’s objections were heard by Justice Mohsin Akhar Kayani. Lalchand, a member of the minority community, and former NA speaker Asad Qaiser filed the lawsuit.

The petitioners’ attorney took the position that political leaders had been given permission by the supreme court to meet with the founder of the PTI.

The petitioners need to have submitted a miscellaneous application to the supreme court at this point, the court declared.
