Cairo/Jerusalem (Reuters): 87 people were injured and at least three people died after Israeli fighter planes attacked Houthi military targets close to Yemen’s Hodeidah port on Saturday. The attack came one day after an Iranian-backed group’s drone bombed Tel Aviv, Israel’s main commercial hub.

Al-Masirah TV, the primary television news channel owned by Yemen’s Houthi movement, cited the health ministry as claiming that the majority of the injured sustained serious burns as a result of airstrikes that targeted oil facilities and a power plant.

During an intense bombardment, Hodeidah residents told Reuters over the phone that they heard explosions around the city. Al-Masirah TV said that firefighters and civil defense personnel were attempting to put out fires in the port’s oil tanks.
