(Reuters) — According to a court filing, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan has scheduled a pretrial meeting for August 16 in the criminal case charging Donald Trump of illegally attempting to reverse his 2020 election defeat.

Chutkan’s order came a day after she reclaimed jurisdiction over the case, which had been put on hold for over eight months to allow Trump to have his presidential immunity claim heard.

She is anticipated to rule in the coming weeks on which portions of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s charge must be dismissed, after the Supreme Court’s ruling that past presidents have extensive immunity for official activities committed while in office.
