LAHORE Inflation has gotten out of control, with prices for a variety of crops, including onions and tomatoes, rising dramatically.
According to the market committee’s statistics report, the price of onions has increased by 10 rupees per kilogram, bringing the official rate to 120 rupees per kilogram.
Onions can cost up to 140 rupees per kilogram on the market.
Similarly, the price of tomatoes has risen by 5 rupees per kilogram, with the official rate fixed at 125 rupees per kilogram, although tomatoes are already selling for up to 180 rupees per kilogram on the market.
