ISLAMABAD: An official report from the jail administration regarding the amenities offered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail has been obtained by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presided over the hearing and examined the petition submitted by attorney Azhar Siddique over Imran Khan’s prison amenities.

The plea requested that Imran Khan be given the facilities in compliance with both international law and jail regulations by IHC. A report covering the previous two weeks was requested by the court.

Chief Justice Farooq asked about the particular amenities given to Khan and recommended that the officials at Adiala Jail furnish information regarding the real circumstances and amenities on offer.
