ISLAMABAD: In order to organize a byelection to fill the vacant seat of NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan-III, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) designated District Returning Officers (DRO), Returning Officers (RO), and Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) on Thursday.

A notice states that Waqas Zafar, Assistant Commissioner, is designated as ARO, Ahmed Raza Butta, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), is named RO, and Khurram Pervaiz, Deputy Commission Rahim Yar Khan, is named DRO.

The passing of MNA Mumtaz Mustafa left the NA-171 seat vacant.
