ISLAMABAD (Channel News)- Barrister Gohar, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), raised worry about the delay in the ruling in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

He also stated that discussions with the administration should not be disrupted.

Speaking to the media, the PTI head stated two demands: the creation of a judicial commission to probe the May 9 and November 26 incidents, as well as the release of innocent party workers.

Gohar, joined by PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Salman Akram Raja, and Shibli Faraz, stated: “We have held two rounds of talks with the government’s negotiation committee and want to ensure that discussions do not reach a deadlock.”

He said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan received no benefits from the Al-Qadir Trust and requested that the issue be resolved as soon as possible.

PTI leader Omar Ayub urged an open and unrestricted meeting with the party’s founder, criticizing the government for postponing such a meeting. He restated his call for the liberation of all political inmates, including Imran Khan, and asked the government to take these requests seriously.

“There is widespread turmoil throughout the country. Unemployment is rising, and over two million young people have fled the nation in the past two years. “The economy will experience zero growth,” Ayub said. He argued that the only answer to the country’s issues was to organize free and transparent elections.

Legal expert Salman Akram Raja, who spoke at the gathering, said he just saw Imran Khan in jail. “Imran Khan stands with his workers and has demanded the release of all political prisoners,” Raja remarked, highlighting the frightening distance between the state and the people.

Shibli Faraz decried what he described as politically driven cases against PTI officials. He claimed that the Al-Qadir Trust case ruling was delayed on purpose.

He urged an urgent verdict in the issue, claiming that Imran Khan and his wife, trustees of the Al-Qadir Trust, were being penalized for their humanitarian efforts.
