ISLAMABAD (Channel News) On Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) projected extensive rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the country’s higher areas from February 19 to 21.
The weather pattern is projected to increase water availability, assist agriculture, and enhance the natural attractiveness of the northern landscape.
According to the Met Office, a frontal weather system will approach the nation on February 19, bringing rain, wind, thunder, and snow to hills in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and portions of Balochistan.
Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Swat, and Skardu are set to get more snowfall, creating a stunning winter scene for visitors and adventurers.
Islamabad and Punjab’s major cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Gujranwala, will receive refreshing rains, which are expected to enhance air quality and remove pollutants.
