ISLAMABAD (Channel News Pakistan) – Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will oversee the Pakistan Crypto Council, which has been officially constituted by the federal government.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the council’s goal is to formulate effective policies, encourage innovations, and maintain a safe financial system Bilal Bin Saqib, Chief Advisor to the Finance Minister on the Pakistan Crypto Council, has been named CEO.

Bilal Saqib will head this endeavor by leveraging his skills in blockchain technology, investing techniques, and digital breakthroughs.

The council’s board includes the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and the federal secretaries of law and finance.

The council will provide regulatory recommendations for cryptocurrency adoption, form worldwide collaborations, and encourage responsible financial innovation. The Ministry of Finance stressed that the program was a significant step toward financial, technological, and digital assets.
