Inzamam-ul-Haq, former Pakistan captain and president of Peshawar Zalmi, has stated that frequent changes in the national squad have had a negative influence on performance.

Speaking to the media at an occasion in Lahore, Inzamam aired his concerns over the national team’s falling record, claiming that Pakistan had not played excellent cricket in the previous year.

He referred to the frequent reshuffling of players and management as a key concern, urging the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to place greater faith in both management and players.

Inzamam stated that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were not rested, but rather withdrawn from the squad.

“This decision was not in Pakistan cricket’s best interests since losing experienced players hurts the squad. Babar Azam is an excellent player, and every top cricketer goes through difficult times.”

He further stated that Peshawar Zalmi totally supports Babar and stands behind him in every manner.

Inzamam also cautioned that eliminating veteran players from the national team will affect Pakistan cricket.

He stated that if players from the 1990s were completely eliminated, the national team would be substantially inferior.

He emphasized that learning from past errors and charting the proper course are critical to Pakistan cricket’s long-term success.

Inzamam made these statements at a ceremony hosted at Nishat Emporium Mall in Lahore, where Peshawar Zalmi and popular food brand Cheezious inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen their collaboration.

The MoU, signed by Peshawar Zalmi President Inzamam-ul-Haq and Cheezious CEO Imran Ejaz, represents a substantial engagement between the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise and the food business.

The two parties also swapped souvenirs as a mark of their agreement.

The occasion was graced by famous analyst Hassan Nisar, social activist Shahid Qadir, and media stars like anchorpersons Rehan Tariq, Usman Mehboob Goraya, Zohaib Saleem Butt, Chaudhry Shabbir, Sajjad Bhutta.
