Karachi A fire broke out in a fireworks warehouse on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi on Thursday, injuring at least 31 people.

There have been reports of explosions coming from within the facility, and the fire department is making every effort to contain the fire.

The fire started in the fireworks warehouse of the C-Breeze building, according to DIG South Asad Raza. Police are undertaking operations with rescue teams and the fire department, while ambulances have been dispatched in response to reports of casualties.

Rescue personnel verified that the fire was started by explosives in the warehouse. Volunteers and members of the fire department are providing assistance after the explosion, which happened at a fireworks storage facility in District South, according to SSP East Farukh Raza.

Additionally, there were stores selling medical equipment and oxygen cylinders in the building; they are being securely evacuated.

Two brothers, according to police sources, owned the warehouse and were both hurt in the explosion. One owner’s first statement has been recorded and will be included in the current inquiry, they added.

The number of witnesses

People were bleeding, and the explosion was enormous. One witness stated, “After helping a few victims, we called the fire department, and they came right away.”

“There is a whole explosives-making operation inside,” rescuer Shahid said. They also have a firecracker-filled storehouse in the rear of the building.

“There is a 70-year-old who has a completely broken leg bone among the injured,” he continued. When explosives were being stored at the back of the structure, a cylinder exploded, causing the tragedy.
