PESHAWAR (Channel News Pakistan)— Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stated on Saturday that “closed-door decisions have hurt the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”

At a news conference with Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, Afridi emphasized that the land in Tirah, District Khyber, is owned by his family rather than him. He stated that attempts to raise the problem were intended to “shift attention.”

Afridi claimed that his party had won three elections as a result of the province government’s performance.

He stated that the tribal districts were united into KP in 2018, yet the province did not receive its full share of funding. “From 2018 to 2025, KP’s share in the NFC Award has not been released,” the executive said.

He criticized the federal government, claiming that over 2.5 million individuals had fled Pakistan and that business communities are in turmoil.

Afridi also referenced constraints on PTI founder Imran Khan, claiming that Khan has been in isolation since November 4, unable to interact with family members or his personal doctor.

Afridi underlined that his government’s policies will restore peace and order. He went on to say that despite the statement of the end of terrorism in 2018, terrorists have reappeared, and closed-door choices have only served to hurt the people. He also mentioned that the parliamentary party planned to attend the NFC conference.

Speaker Babar Saleem Swati stated that “for lasting peace, the KP government’s advice must be followed.”

He went on to say that Pakistan has a variety of institutions and that the army should be viewed as Pakistan’s army rather than India’s. He mentioned that members of the parliament, journalists, and businesses from all around Pakistan attend national events where institution leaders interact with elected representatives.
