Asim Azhar, a musician from Pakistan, expressed his happiness when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) featured one of his songs in a film to promote the female party members and leaders under Imran Khan.
The original music (OST) of the television series Sinf-e-Aahan (women of steel) include a song that PTI Chairman Imran Khan uploaded on Twitter. The song features footage of women taking part in the May 9 rallies against the imprisonment of their leader.
“Pakistani women will be recognised and included in our democratic history for the manner they stood up for Haqeeqi Azadi. The violence of our security personnel and their despicable efforts to mistreat, harm, and degrade our women will also never be forgotten. Numerous people are detained in appalling circumstances. Khan had written, “This too won’t be forgotten.
Asim acknowledged the tweet and claimed to have composed and performed the song “with all my heart” in response.
Asim, who co-starred in the drama with Sajal Aly, tweeted, “What an honour for me to have this song that I wrote and sang to be shared by the one and only kaptaan @ImranKhanPTI who dedicates this to all the women who are standing up for Pakistan.”
It should be emphasised that the military’s media branch, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), worked with commercial production firms to develop the drama series Sinf-e-Aahan. The drama focused on the lives of seven young women who joined the Pakistan Army because of their fierce determination and enthusiasm for serving their country.
