LAHORE– Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), compared the “oppression of his party workers to genocide in Nazi Germany” on Monday.
The former premier underlined his concerns over the re-arrest of party leader Shireen Mazari in a Twitter Spaces session with supporters, saying that such government acts highlight the “plight of the powerful.”
In response to the chaos on May 9, Mr. Khan said, “PTI has promoted nonviolent demonstrations for the last 27 years. Why does the biggest party in the nation advocate violence?
Government terrified about elections
According to Mr. Khan, the administration flagrantly disregarded the Supreme Court’s directive to conduct the Punjab Assembly elections. The elections are terrifying the government.
“The strong may act anyway they like once the law is breached. The strong make sure that this ideology succeeds by using the notion of necessity,” he lamented.
Attack on the Lahore Corps Commander’s home; PTI conspiracies
The assault on the Lahore Corps Commander House, according to Mr. Khan, was part of a plot against the PTI. The PTI is being blamed by the government. Where are the CCTV recordings?
“There were already occupants in the residence. This is only a plot against us, he said.
Elections are crucial for the nation.
“Elections are not the need of PTI, but the need of the country,” Mr. Khan stated in reference to the significance of elections. “We have tried a lot to start talks just for the elections,” Mr. Khan remarked when asked about discussions with the government about conducting elections. But they fear the next elections. But they imprisoned our leaders.
The Supreme Court will speak up.
Mr. Khan anticipated that the Supreme Court will be forced to “take a stand” because to “open opposition” to the judiciary. I think the Supreme Court will preserve the nation, he remarked.

Mr. Khan remarked, “I worked with former army chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa before he switched horses” while referring to the former army chief Gen.
According to Mr. Khan, “Bajwa worked to have me removed for the final six months of the PTI government and later claimed that I was a danger to the nation.”
Mr. Khan said that he is certain that the nation needs a powerful defensive system.
Mr. Khan poked fun at the current administration by saying, “The government wants to hit me because it is petrified of the elections.”
Mr. Khan remarked, in reference to the attempted murder, “I anticipated that a religious fanatic would be hired to assassinate me like our governor was slain. My life remains in jeopardy.
