Pir Ghulam Mohiuddin Chishti, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), announced his resignation from the troubled party on Friday.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Chisti denounced the violence on May 9. I am willing to give my life in service of the nation, he declared.

Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto, the vice president of the PTI in Sindh, resigned on Thursday.

As he and PTI Sindh Vice President Allah Bakhsh Unar spoke at a press conference, Mr. Bhutto declared, “Now I am not interested in politics. For the benefit of my friends and the nation, I am willing to make sacrifices.
