Sardar Usman Buzdar, a former chief minister of Punjab, is the most recent PTI politician to resign from office.

At a news conference held at the Quetta news Club, he expressed his condemnation for the violence on May 9 and asked all participants to leave their respective groups and consider what Pakistan’s future would be like.

Buzdar added that the military facilities that were attacked were owned by the Pakistani government and that “I believe we should avoid such incidents.” He declared that the Pakistan Army had and always would have his support. Buzdar asked for the quick release of all the “innocent citizens” who are now detained.
