Ali Aziz Jiji and Faisal Farooq Cheema, two MPs for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said goodbye to the group on Monday.

Mr. Jiji, a native of Sindh, stated categorically that a strong army equates to a secure Pakistan before adding that he wanted a break from politics.

Speaking to the media, he denounced the events of May 9 and called for an investigation into the culprits.

He said, adding that he intended to take a vacation from politics, saying he joined the party in 1996. He said, “I want to spend time with my sick mother.
