On Monday, higher regions of Pakistan were hit by torrential rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds for the second day in a row. At least 11 persons were killed by lightning strikes.

Lightning-related fatalities have been reported in a number of locations in Punjab, including Narowal, Pasrur, Shakargarh, and Sheikhupura.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, the Pothohar region/upper Punjab, north-eastern Balochistan, and other areas had pre-monsoon rainfall late Sunday night and well into Monday.
