General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), is in Australia on an official visit from July 24 to July 28 for 1.5 Track Security Dialogue and Defence and Security Talks.
The CJCSC met with senior military and civilian authorities during the tour, including General Angus J. Campbell, Chief of Defence Forces Australia. According to a news release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides decided to increase their level of military-to-military cooperation during the sessions.

General Campbell spoke with the former commander of the army in February of last year to discuss bilateral collaboration in a variety of areas, regional security in general, and military-to-military interaction.
