RAWALPINDI – Gen Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), attended a ceremony at Army Auditorium GHQ to commemorate Olympian Arshad Nadeem’s historic feat.
Sports teams and legendary Olympians attended the event, including the 1984 Olympic and National Hockey teams, the National Cricket Team, the Street Football Team, the Army Polo Team, the Visually Impaired Cricket and Women’s Goal Ball Teams, medal winners from the Common Wealth, SAF, and Asian Games, and participants in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Notable legends include Jahangir Khan, Islahuddin, Shahbaz Senior, Sohail Abbas, Muhammad Asif, and Aisamul Haq. Close family, acquaintances, and coaches of Arshad Nadeem attended the occasion as well.
